Poster by Morgan HeslinIf my laziness persists, I’ll just keep naming my films after songs… specifically songs by The Mountain Goats. Is that illegal? Hmm, anyway: this dark comedy about jealousy and concepts of revenge formulated after hearing Mountain Goats lead singer John Darnielle speak about their song whose title we used. He spoke of the futility of revenge, but how beautiful it feels in concept. I don’t know if people will see this film as deep as that sentiment stands, but hey, why not try to emulate it, and make fun of commercial auditions at the same time, I say.

I ended up making this for a class project that called for a 7 minute, 3 act film with no dialogue. Whoops.

Thanks to Taylor Owen, Julian Fay Conner, Stephanie Kerbis, Dillon McEvoy, and Tom McLoughlin for helping me make the film, and being a great support overall. Also Morgan Heslin for a great poster!

THAT GIRL THINKS SHE’S THE QUEEN OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD. But this thing is more Taxi Driver and Young Adult than… Mean Girls? Hm. Anyway, yeah, wanted to play up the dark comedy/revenge angle, so I went with a fitting song, in my opinion.
